Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Milk Intake Specialist II to join our team at Grande Cheese. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient intake of milk from our dairy suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Milk Intake Operations: Operate and maintain critical control points (CCPs) and yard horses to ensure the safe and efficient intake of milk from our dairy suppliers.
- Load Management: Coordinate the unloading of milk from trucks and transfer it to proper storage units, following all Grande and regulatory procedures to ensure the highest quality and safety of milk.
- Quality Control: Verify seals, wash tags, and weights from farm pick-up slips to ensure milk has not been tampered with, and properly agitate and collect milk samples for quality testing and payments.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and order supplies, such as seals, filters, and starter, to keep production running efficiently.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate, inspect, and troubleshoot intake equipment, and perform general maintenance as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Track data on testing, weights, producers, truck numbers, and grade A permits in compliance with government regulations, and maintain required records and produce required reports.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or better in General Education.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience and/or training required, preferably in a food manufacturing industry.
- Licenses & Certifications: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
Working Conditions: This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. The ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
