We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Darling Ingredients, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for installing, repairing, and monitoring industrial processing and production machinery, as well as executing a preventative maintenance program with a focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Perform repairs on production equipment, loading doors and docks, waste water equipment, and building.
  • Install equipment such as motors, grinders, and conveyor systems.
  • Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, and ammonia systems.
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
  • Safely operate hand tools, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts.
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience, including maintaining electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years installing and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Advanced technical or college training.
