As a vital member of GGP PARKS LLC, the Landscape Care Specialist will perform essential landscape maintenance tasks under general supervision, focusing on all aspects of plant health and daily horticultural operations.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure consistency and quality in all horticultural operations.
- Policy Compliance: Follow all horticultural policies and procedures to guarantee safety, efficiency, and satisfaction.
- Landscape Tasks: Execute various landscape duties including cutbacks, leaf removal, mulching, pruning, weeding, mowing, string trimming, planting, deadheading, and pesticide applications.
- Irrigation Management: Utilize, inspect, and perform minor repairs on the irrigation system.
- Plant Health Care: Implement plant health care practices such as scouting for diseases and pests, proper watering, and applying pesticides and fertilizers as needed.
- Material Communication: Communicate requirements for horticultural operations and complete plant designs as necessary.
- Training: Mentor and guide volunteers or temporary assistants in safe task execution.
- Equipment Operation: Operate necessary equipment as required.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- An Associate's degree in horticulture or two years of relevant experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for insurance coverage.
- Ability to obtain an Oklahoma pesticide license.
- Commitment to enhancing the GGP PARKS brand and serving the community.
- Knowledge and experience in public parks and horticultural operations.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to operate equipment as necessary.
- Ability to meet the physical demands typical of labor-intensive roles, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, dig, rake, twist, and use hands; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Willingness to work varied and extended shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Potential exposure to noise, temperature extremes, humidity, dust, or chemicals, necessitating the use of protective equipment.
- This position is safety-sensitive, requiring a negative result on a pre-employment drug screening.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel, with the ability to adapt to various computer programs.
