Your Role:
In this position, you will:
- Execute various monthly and quarterly revenue closing activities, including the posting of revenue and contra revenue journal entries, as well as preparing balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Generate precise and timely monthly and quarterly revenue reports, ensuring reconciliation between reporting tools and the general ledger, and preparing management reporting packages.
- Conduct disaggregated revenue analysis to support SEC filings and assist the Legal team with revenue reporting data.
- Update historical Point of Sale (POS) and Special Pricing Authorization (SPA) rates, sell-through, and channel inventory data to prepare monthly future rate tables, aiding Business Unit Finance in determining final future rates.
- Facilitate future rate table meetings and gross margin analytics discussions with Business Unit VPs, Finance teams, Revenue Controllers, and the Revenue team to gather insights on future rates.
- Perform analytical reporting to assess variances and the impact of business activities on revenue.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Sales Operations, and Business Unit Finance, to enhance the quality of revenue data and streamline revenue reporting processes.
- Design, implement, and uphold effective accounting processes, policies, and internal controls, while evaluating and recommending best practices for process improvement.
- Coordinate audit requests to support internal management and external audits, ensuring all assigned revenue deliverables are completed accurately.
- Lead or assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary, driving them to successful completion.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 6 years of combined experience in Big 4 audit and corporate revenue accounting within the technology sector.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong communication and data analytical skills.
- Experience with SAP and Oracle Cloud.
- Proficiency in OBIEE and Power Business Intelligence.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
