We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full-time role involves performing a variety of skilled maintenance tasks related to the engineering and upkeep of facilities.
Position Details- Location: To be determined.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
- Compensation: Competitive pay range of $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
- Utilize a mobile device to update work statuses and document completed tasks in the CMMS.
- Assess manpower, material requirements, and deadlines for various projects.
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical building systems, and other specialized equipment.
- Assist in decision-making regarding repairs and report significant issues to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Construct, install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems using necessary tools and equipment.
- Review vendor projects and create punch lists as needed.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues related to building systems and utilities.
- Support project management activities as required.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain logs, conduct rounds, and complete preventive maintenance work orders and inspections.
- Recommend modifications or improvements to preventive maintenance systems.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in mechanical areas and shops.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional environment.
- Possession of a relevant license such as Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification, or Journeyman Plumber License.
- Experience with blueprints and schematics is essential.
- Valid driver's license required.
- General understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
This position may involve exposure to high heat, noise, dust, and areas requiring infection control. Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and nights, is necessary to maintain facility standards.
