HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
The HVAC Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to facilities engineering and maintenance functions. This role will work under the supervision of a Supervisor, Foreman, and/or Master Mechanic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update work statuses and document tasks completed in the CMMS utilizing a mobile device.
- Determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs and projects.
- Clean, lubricate, service, repair, and diagnose malfunction of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, food service equipment, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems, and similar plant and specialty equipment items.
- Construct, finish, install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
- Review outside vendor projects and make punch lists.
- Analyze and correct complex building system problems and electro/mechanical problems related to utilities.
- Support project management activity as needed.
- Respond to emergency problems in the facility and make emergency repairs as needed.
- Perform M. work orders, tests, and inspections.
- Maintain shops and mechanical areas in a clean and safe manner.
- Hold a Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or Journeyman Plumber License.
- Have a general understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Be able to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
- Be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary, in order to maintain facility at the appropriate and safe level.
