About the Role

The MDS Coordinator is a critical member of our team at Villas at Robbinsdale, responsible for overseeing the completion, editing, locking, and transmission process of all Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely completion of MDS assessments with a focus on accuracy, case mix maximization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the clinical and regulatory component of MDS completion related to reimbursement.
  • Coordinate care plan completion with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and provide clinical support to nursing staff to enhance accurate assessments, care plans, and excellent quality of care.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota.
  • Must have successfully completed or seek certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and emergency care for the healthcare provider.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing when directing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and when performing and assessing care for residents.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must qualify for employment after a criminal background study, per the guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living communities.
  • Experience with MDS and Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
