Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply engineering fundamentals to design mechanical systems for industrial and commercial clients
  • Perform HVAC and plumbing system sizing calculations, select equipment, and write technical specifications
  • Communicate with internal staff, clients, and other consultants/disciplines
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of floor plans, site plans, and other drawings for complex structures
  • Review and approve mechanical design packages developed by design teams
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 7+ years of related design experience
  • Current Professional Engineer license or working towards licensure
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Piping/Plumbing design
  • Strong understanding of engineering, design, and documentation principles, practices, and standards
Working Environment and Physical Effort:

This role may require travel assignments constituting up to 10% of the work schedule.

Key Competencies:
  • Knowledge of contract documents and specifications
  • Ability to collect field data and accurately record findings
  • Ability to perform system design functions
