We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Woodforest Acceptance Solutions. As a key member of our financial planning and analysis team, you will be responsible for supporting corporate financial planning, forecasts, and analysis with operations and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development and implementation of plans to enable effective benchmarking and comparative reporting of key revenue cycle metrics.
- Prepare management reporting to internal consumers and the board of directors, ensuring meaningful and relevant information while guaranteeing data integrity and accuracy.
- Synthesize large amounts of data into meaningful analysis and trend identification, assisting in identifying, quantifying, and prioritizing opportunities to improve net revenue realization and cash.
- Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of economic conditions and business performance, developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial and operational performance.
- Collaborate with senior management on the development and preparation of the company's annual strategic planning process and documentation.
- Perform various processes related to the company's federal, state, and local tax obligations, including preparing and filing tax returns, organizing tax files, and assisting external tax preparers as necessary.
- Participate in system implementation and process improvement projects.
- Research relevant business developments in the organization and/or within the industry.
- May plan, conduct, and supervise long-term projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies Required:
- Ability to prepare a variety of financial statements, reports, analyses, and model the economic dynamics of the business.
- Strong communication, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
- Superior skills with financial modeling and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel & PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage and utilize 3rd party systems and tools to facilitate accurate and reliable knowledge capture, organization, tracking, and reporting of data.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- 3+ relevant experience in positions that require financial analysis.
- Banking experience preferred.
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.
- MBA and/or Certified Public Accountant a plus.
