About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst to join our Corporate and Leveraged Finance team at TD Bank Group. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the lending and credit functions of the bank, conducting in-depth industry and financial analysis of existing and potential borrowers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis of moderately complex loans, industries, and customers, including researching industry-specific information from outside sources.
  • Loan Origination: Participate in customer meetings, make direct inquiries for specific customer information, and perform underwriting analysis of borrowers' character, creditworthiness, and financial condition.
  • Credit Risk Assessment: Analyze financial statements, management profiles, business and product cycles, cash flow ability, collateral, and aging to identify trends, measure performance, and assess financial strength and develop an assessment of credit risk.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare insightful and timely approval memorandums for presentation to appropriate lending and credit authorities, and maintain credit files, monitor data, and prepare updated analysis memos.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and provide written analysis that identifies any deviations from the Company Commercial Loan Policy.
Requirements
  • Education: 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years related experience required.
  • Skills: Developed knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques, strong oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and research skills, and developed PC skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work in a team environment.
