Position Overview

Kimberton Whole Foods Inc is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Perishable Stocker to enhance our team.

Work Schedule: Wednesday from 8am to 12pm and Thursday from 3:30pm to 8:30pm.

Compensation: Starting at $15.00 per hour.

Eligibility: Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Employee Benefits: Part-time employees are entitled to a 15% discount on store purchases after 60 days of employment, along with a 401K plan featuring a 3% match after one year and 1000 hours of service.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Perishable Stocker include:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service to all patrons.
  • Receiving and organizing all incoming refrigerated and frozen products, including fresh meats, seafood, local dairy, and baked goods.
  • Ensuring proper stock rotation according to time and temperature requirements.
  • Collaborating with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate product signage throughout the department.
  • Adhering to established operational procedures to maintain vibrant and fresh displays.
  • Understanding and applying inventory management practices effectively.
  • Assisting in various store areas as required.
Physical Requirements

Essential Capabilities:

  • Full sensory range (vision, hearing, and smell) is necessary for reading labels, assessing quality, and communicating effectively.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50-75 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to stoop, squat, and kneel to retrieve items from shelves and carts.
  • Walking short distances to transport items as needed.
  • Prolonged standing is required during shifts.
  • Work environment involves significant movement, with most tasks requiring walking and standing rather than sitting.
  • Ability to work in cold environments, including coolers and freezers, while handling cold products for extended periods.
