Position Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Zeeland, MI
Pay Rate: USD $22.00 – $30.00 / hr

Sign-On Bonus: Eligible for a bonus of UP TO $5,000 for new hires in Maintenance roles.

Compensation: Based on experience, with weekly pay.

Shifts Available: Both Day and Night shifts.

Schedule: Rotating shifts, consisting of 3 days on, 3 days off, followed by 2 days on and 2 days off. Some weekend work may be required.

This position is integral to our Prepared Foods Division. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will collaborate across various departments, ensuring the reliability of our equipment and contributing to overall company performance. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe work environment through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Execute emergency mechanical and electrical repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills effectively on all assigned production equipment.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to achieve operational goals.
  • Minimize equipment downtime through effective maintenance practices.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Work with hydraulic systems, pumps, and welding equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of electrical theory and system installation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Preferred 1 year of maintenance experience or relevant education (e.g., industrial maintenance diploma or technical school enrollment). Electrician or journeyman license is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in industrial maintenance or equivalent experience, with knowledge of hydraulics, welding, and compressed air systems.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency required for logging information and processing work orders. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is beneficial.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills are essential for successful job performance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; frequent lifting of 20 lbs.
  • Capable of standing on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing and using ladders.
  • Frequent overhead work and repetitive motions.
  • Work environment temperatures may vary significantly.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
