Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanic to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing daily leadership to our mechanics, ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct a team of mechanics to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Monitor and verify the quality of work performed by team members, providing guidance and coaching as needed
  • Diagnose complex mechanical issues and develop effective repair plans
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role within a maintenance or repair environment
  • Proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams and driving results
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
