Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide family-centered care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and apply specialty practice standards, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the enhancement of patient care and services.
  • Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts, ensuring the smooth flow of patient processing, treatment, and discharge.
  • Mentor new staff and physician assistant students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a clinical setting, with frequent exposure to patients, medical equipment, and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to lift, carry, and move patients and equipment as needed, and work in a variety of physical environments, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
