Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of assigned projects, including licensing, estimating, scheduling, staffing, and overall project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project estimates based on customer-supplied RFP information, site walkdowns, and stated assumptions
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and compliant manner, meeting safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, including crew build-ups and unit rate conversions
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and public entities
  • Supervise and approve the work of own forces and subcontractors, including determining methods of construction, manpower levels, materials, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure trades personnel complete necessary training in areas of safety, quality assurance, technical qualifications, equipment operation, and owner-specified requirements
  • Interface with client representatives, design engineers, consultants, and other contractors
  • Ensure project compliance with drawings, specifications, Field Work Packages (FWPs), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and project schedule and budget

Requirements

  • Technical college diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
  • Minimum 5 years industrial and subcontractor supervision experience in the automotive, food and beverage, manufacturing, or power generation industry (power generation strongly preferred)
  • Ability to successfully supervise projects ranging in value from $25k to $25M
  • Knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements, and jurisdiction
  • Good communication, organizational, and supervisory skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to read and understand CGC Cost Reports
  • Ability to perform take-offs and read construction drawings
