KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate supply and demand metrics to generate purchase orders and expedite requests aligned with production timelines.
  • Establish and nurture new supplier partnerships, negotiate pricing agreements, and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Source and procure components required for engineering, production, and sales departments.
  • Conduct procurement activities and manage purchase orders based on planned requirements and scheduled production dates.
  • Engage with suppliers regarding order confirmations and update delivery dates to support production scheduling.
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and various departments (Production, Receiving, Engineering, Accounting) to address procurement-related matters.
  • Provide updates on shortages and estimated arrival times for projects on the FlowMark/Aviation schedules.
  • Issue purchase orders with due dates reflecting the urgency of parts needed.
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in received orders in collaboration with the Receiving department.
  • Review the Non-Confirmed Purchase Order Report and secure confirmed dispatch dates from suppliers promptly.
  • Notify the purchasing manager of any shortages that may affect production timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
  • Familiarity with sourcing and warehouse management practices, including RFQs and RMAs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate vendor relationships effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret large datasets and develop solutions.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in Pivot Tables and VLookup.
  • Competence in general computer skills.
  • Experience in supply management.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and drafting.
