Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Queen's Health System. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Analyst to identify opportunities for improving our business systems and bridge the needs of the business with the use of information technology.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to processes, policies, and information systems.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Complete analysis to understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and work with the IT team to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Business Process Re-engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Three years of experience in finance, supply chain, human resources, or learning management, preferably in a comparable organization.
  • One year of PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM, or ELM application support/implementation experience or other ERP application experience.
Experience to Demonstrate
  • Understanding of PeopleSoft supply chain, finance, or HCM business processes.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels within the organization.
