Job Description

The Construction Project Planner - Civil & Structural Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning and advanced work packaging processes for one of our major capital projects. This position will focus on civil and structural construction activities, ensuring that all planning and work packaging processes are developed, implemented, maintained, and overseen effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detailed planning of civil grading and trenching, concrete foundation, paving, structural steel, and fireproofing activities
  • Performing quantity takeoffs and monitoring progress
  • Identifying and mitigating constraints at the work front
  • Development, implementation, maintenance, and oversight of planning and work packaging processes and procedures
  • Development and quantification of construction performance targets
  • Development and maintenance of internal company plans and schedules
  • Contribute to reviews of Contractor execution plans and schedules
  • Provide oversight and leadership to Contractor Advanced Work Packaging teams
  • Audit construction completions processes and participate in driving Inspection & Test Record documentation completion
  • Set up and maintain reporting and dashboard templates for consistent communication
  • Present and effectively communicate plan and schedule information internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain graphical summary depictions of execution plan
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but field work experience could substitute
  • 5 years of relevant mechanical construction and pipe installation experience in major Oil & Gas engineering and construction projects
  • Experience with Advanced Work Packaging processes
  • Proficient in NavisWorks or other 3D modeling and work packaging software
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio skills
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar relational database management systems preferred
