Position Overview:
As an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will find that no two days are the same in our fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for those who enjoy dynamic work settings and can adeptly manage the pressures of critical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct organized rounds, discussing cases and gathering necessary information.
  • Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize care based on assessments.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team on treatment plans and client communication.
  • Provide client education on home care, medications, and wellness updates for hospitalized patients.
  • Assist veterinarians with patient assessments, treatments, and procedures.
  • Monitor and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients.
  • Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation.
  • Perform in-house laboratory tests and prepare samples for external testing.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a State Registered Veterinary Technician license and have prior veterinary experience, with emergency experience preferred. Proficiency in calculations related to medications and infusions is essential.

Additional Skills:
Flexibility in work hours and the ability to work additional hours as needed. Candidates should excel in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
