We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Application Engineering to lead our engineering team at Tsugami America. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our engineering strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team to achieve company objectives and implement critical initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the team's time and schedule to ensure effective resource allocation and productivity.
  • Ensure customer commitments are met and deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate with sales and service departments to resolve customer-related problems and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and coordinate custom demonstrations and turnkey projects to meet customer needs.
  • Develop metrics to measure key data and behaviors that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and review part processing and cycle time estimates on customer opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Engineering Management.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to develop staff.
  • Broad knowledge of the machine tool industry and its applications.
  • Sophisticated knowledge of CNC machine technology and applications.
  • Knowledge of CNC-based controls, especially Fanuc.
  • Solid understanding of CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory on a regular basis.
