Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team as a Critical Care Clinical Assistant. As a Critical Care Clinical Assistant, you will be responsible for transporting critically ill patients in a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) vehicle and providing high-quality patient care in a prompt and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Transport critically ill patients in a MICU vehicle, ensuring safe and timely arrival at the destination.
  • Assist with patient care, including assessing patient condition, establishing priorities, and communicating with the MICU RN and paramedic.
  • Participate in inventory management, reordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with the neonatal team on neonatal transports, assisting with loading and preparing the isolette in the vehicle.
  • Ensure equipment is retrieved from the hospital, returned to Life Flight, cleaned, and labeled for return to requesting EMS agencies and/or hospitals.
  • Complete annual flight crewmember training and adhere to the standards and policies of the Corporate Responsibility Program.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Current license as an EMT from the State of Ohio.
  • Prior EMS field experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Sufficient interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital personnel.
Working Conditions
  • Works in a variable patient care environment, as well as an ambulance.
  • Physically able to move about and work effectively in the confines of the ambulance.
