Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct CT scans and procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe care.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast according to protocols and follow proper injection procedures.
  • Transfer images to PACS, UNCH's EMR, and other systems, and verify image transmission.
  • Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and precepting new employees and students.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 36 hours per week. The work assignment type is onsite, and the location is UNC Medical Center Hillsborough. The salary range is $40.09 per hour (hiring range), and pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.
