Job Overview
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in the Derby-Shelton, CT area. As a direct hire role, this position offers opportunities for career growth within a stable and collaborative organization.

This on-site position requires a minimum of three years' current experience and a proven proficiency in working with SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD. Additionally, candidates should have expertise in PCB layout using Altium software, embedded software for PLCs and embedded controllers, and HMIs such as touch screen displays and PLC programming.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience utilizing AutoCAD and Altium, as well as a strong understanding of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and design principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize, design, and lay out electrical systems using SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with the team to apply electrical engineering principles and develop design solutions for machine control.
  • Review, test, and confirm electrical systems and component capabilities.
  • Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and checks drawings for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to identify electrical components/subassemblies that meet machine requirements and specifications.
  • Install and troubleshoot equipment as needed internally and at customer sites.
  • Aid in the development of operation manuals and other pertinent documentation.
  • Support prototype builds and conceptualize new product development (NPD) projects.
