Role Overview

As a Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our Platform Engineering team, serving as an innovator and collaborator. You possess a deep understanding of cloud software delivery, tools, and processes that facilitate efficient and resilient development practices. Your passion for technology drives you to explore emerging trends and solutions, enabling you to create and implement complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Implementation (70%)
  • Develop solutions utilizing Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
  • Enhance your skills within a dynamic, multi-skilled development environment.
  • Leverage your expertise in cloud networking, API integrations, and infrastructure resilience.
  • Automate infrastructure lifecycle management and support internal tools through IaC.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to analyze features and capabilities.
  • Align technology architectures with business objectives in partnership with technology leaders.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Cloud Engineering Program through design and implementation of tools and processes.

Strategy & Communication (20%)
  • Implement cloud-first architectural solutions and best practices.
  • Engage in technology strategy planning and research emerging technologies.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to team deliverables.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving production issues.

Team Coordination (10%)
  • Mentor team members by creating training materials on infrastructure architecture.
  • Lead technical initiatives and guide staff in technology architectures and solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD frameworks, and modern DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Cloud Computing and Microservices.
  • Proficient in distributed cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and others is advantageous.
  • Proficient in coding/scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
