About the Role

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts.

This is a part-time, ongoing position requiring 24 hours of work per week, with an 8-hour shift during the day. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse to provide psychiatric care to adult, adolescent, and child patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and provide milieu treatment, considering patient needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with the nurse therapist to determine a milieu treatment approach.
  • Administer initial psychological assessments and provide consistent individual counseling focused on treatment goals during hospitalization.
  • Participate in milieu therapy for patients on an individual or group basis, leading or assisting in milieu groups.
  • Collaborate with other unit staff in assessing and evaluating patient mental status, initiating and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with patients.
  • Coordinate and implement various aspects of the milieu environment to provide a therapeutic experience for patients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
  • BLS required.
