The Senior Manager will work closely with engineering, product management, and operations teams to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for hardware and software products, aligning with company goals and industry best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Drive the adoption of new QA methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish, monitor, and optimize QA processes, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and capable of supporting the company's growth.
- Define and enforce quality standards, guidelines, and best practices across the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate QA processes into development workflows, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Oversee the testing and validation of hardware products, including functional, performance, reliability, and environmental testing.
- Manage software QA activities, including manual and automated testing, regression testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of test results, issues, and resolutions.
- Identify and mitigate quality risks throughout the product lifecycle, proactively addressing potential issues before they impact customers.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for product defects and failures, driving long-term solutions.
- Work closely with product management to understand customer requirements and translate them into actionable QA plans.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of QA processes and tools into development environments.
- Collaborate with operations and support teams to address quality issues in the field and continuously improve product performance.
- Develop and maintain QA metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into product quality and testing progress.
- Present quality reports and insights to executive leadership, highlighting areas for improvement and strategic recommendations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams in a technology company.
- Proven experience in QA for both hardware and software products.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices, including automation and CI/CD.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards is a plus.
