We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Technician to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties.
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals in therapeutic activities, including job coaching and vocational rehabilitation.
- Accompany individuals to and from activities and appointments, as required.
- Perform housekeeping duties in therapeutic activity areas and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collect data related to treatment plans and provide feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with Direct Support Professionals to maintain a connection and assist with the development of treatment plans.
- Some knowledge of relevant therapeutic techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Experience in, or ability to gain experience in, the use of equipment, tools, and materials used in therapeutic activities.
- Ability to assist in development of treatment and support plans.
- Ability to collect data for assigned therapeutic specialty.
- Ability to utilize personal computers and relevant software.
- General knowledge of, or ability to gain knowledge of, ICF-IID regulations and State Supported Living Center policies and procedures.
- Ability to meet the same physical requirements as those for direct contact staff positions.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
