Job Summary:

The Psychologist/Program Director position at Upstate University Hospital is a key role in providing high-quality care to a diverse outpatient population. This position will provide program direction and direct patient care services, implementing and overseeing the clinical coordination and treatment management of patients in the Integrated Behavioral Healthcare Clinic.

The successful candidate will assess the clinical needs of patients, recommend, and deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions, including individual and group psychotherapy. This role will work in a multi-disciplinary setting with psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, and nursing staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of clinical staff
  • Implement and oversee clinical coordination and treatment management
  • Assess patient needs and recommend therapeutic interventions
  • Deliver individual and group psychotherapy
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
  • PhD or PsyD and NYS licensed (or eligible) Psychologist required
  • Experience working with Dialectical Behavior Therapy required
  • Mental health experience working with child and adolescent patients required
  • CPR-BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as Program Director in an Ambulatory setting
  • DBT training preferred
Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, days
