POSITION SUMMARY:
Bootz & Duke Sign Company is a leading full-service signage provider that has been operating since 1964. The Sign Assembly Expert plays a crucial role in ensuring the professional assembly and finishing of all signage products. This position requires efficiency and precision while adhering to safety protocols. Candidates should have experience with trim capping, basic electrical wiring (120V), LED installation, and familiarity with commercial sign materials. UL certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- In-depth knowledge of various sign materials such as aluminum, vinyl, and plexiglass.
- Proficient in using tools for trim capping and assembly tasks.
- Experience with electrical components, including LED technology and primary wiring (120V).
- Able to interpret blueprints, symbols, and diagrams effectively.
- Prior experience in a sign manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- UL certification is a plus.
- Understanding of OSHA safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to collaborate and follow directions to meet team objectives.
- Exhibit a proactive and growth-oriented attitude.
- Capable of standing, bending, and performing various physical tasks for extended periods; manual dexterity to operate tools and assemble components.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs independently.
- Ability to hear, speak, and see clearly; tolerate loud noises and temperature variations in a workshop setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Extended periods of standing and working in low positions; climbing ladders; manual dexterity for fine and gross motor tasks; reaching above and below shoulder height; good visual acuity; ability to withstand loud environments.
- With adequate hydration, ability to handle temperature fluctuations, including exposure to heat and cold.
- Physical capability to squat, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull, and reach overhead.
COMPENSATION:
- This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Flexibility in scheduling may be required during peak periods.
- Compensation ranges from $28.00, depending on experience.
