Groundskeeper II

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Groundskeeper II to join our team at Arlington Independent School District. As a Groundskeeper II, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our school grounds, including lawns, athletic fields, and exterior facilities.

• Maintain the health and safety of students and staff by ensuring the grounds are free from hazards and debris.
• Operate and maintain equipment associated with grounds maintenance, including tractors and attachments.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Requisition supplies and materials as required.
• Maintain daily and special records of work performed.
• Interact with other departments and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ability to read and understand verbal instructions in English.
• Possess and maintain a valid Texas driver's license.
• 1-year experience in grounds maintenance, preferred.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The ability to lift and carry moderate weights, as well as work in a team environment, is essential.
