Job Summary

As a Laboratory Assistant at MTSS, you will play a vital role in supporting our laboratory professionals and facilitating production. Your daily activities will involve performing routine laboratory functions with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sorting and receiving specimens in the department
  • Performing routine instrument maintenance on equipment
  • Centrifuging specimens, printing labels, recording data, and storing specimens
  • Preparing reagents and media, and preparing specimens for testing
  • Performing QA/QC duties and resolving pending lists
  • Decontaminating work areas and disposing of biohazardous material
  • Maintaining files and records, and changing gas cylinders
  • Following safety regulations and using laboratory computer systems
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical assistant training is helpful, and math and science courses are preferred
  • Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to interact with coworkers and customers with courtesy and respect
