  • Evaluation: Evaluate and document patient progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
  • Provide Nursing Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and intravenous solutions in a safe manner.
  • Reporting: Report significant alterations in patient condition to physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Counseling and Education: Counsel and educate patients and their families on health-related topics and include them in the plan of care.
  • Quality of Care: Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Individual Practice Evaluation: Reflect knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in healthcare delivery in daily practice.
  • Education: Acquire and maintain current knowledge and competency in patient care.
  • Collegiality: Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers.
  • Ethics: Make decisions and take actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
  • Research: Use clinical inquiry in practice.
  • Resource Utilization: Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years Medical/Surgical experience, with Critical Care experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Software/Hardware: Meditech experience preferred.
