Job Summary
The Hospitals of Providence - Sierra Campus is seeking a skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to join our team in the Neuro ICU. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of nursing care for critically ill patients, including those who are post-operative, ventilator-dependent, or experiencing hemodynamic instability.
- Respond to code and emergent situations as a team member within the hospital.
- Participate in patient and family teaching, providing education on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs, lab results, and medication effects.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timing.
- Document patient progress, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- 2+ years of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in a Neuro ICU setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
