Key Responsibilities- Systems Administration: Responsible for the administration of enterprise IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
- IT Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of enterprise IT systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
- MECM Administration: Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) to manage and deploy software, security patches, and updates to user workstations and servers.
- Software Delivery: Administer MECM software delivery, including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine targeted, user targeted, Application Library, and Software Center.
- Client Health Management: Manage and administer MECM client health, including the process of getting clients healthy.
- PowerShell Expertise: Provide expertise with PowerShell for custom reporting and scripting.
- Technical Solutions: Develop advanced technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot highly complex system hardware and software issues.
- Implementation Planning: Develop implementation plans for software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- System Monitoring: Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Data Integrity: Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
- Data Recoverability: Lead efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Audits and Compliance: Conduct advanced hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Performance and Security Planning: Develop performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
- System Evaluation: Evaluate existing systems and plans long-term strategies.
- Security Compliance: Responsible for applying security principles, practices, and procedures under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain compliance with applicable security regulations.
- Team Support: Provide support to other teams, including the 24/7/365 Joint DoDIN Operations Center (JDOC) teams.
- Change Management: Collaborate with other teams to implement changes while following the established change management processes.
- Tier 3 Support: Ensure the resolution of Tier 3 hardware and software problems and coordinate as needed for vendor tier 4 support.
- Technical Recommendations: Recommend technical solutions for Enterprise Infrastructure management, design, and operations.
- Training Development: Develops training materials on the proper use of hardware and software (TTPs, SOPs, KAs, etc).
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Technical Skills: Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience with managing enterprise IT teams in geographically separated locations supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of servers (physical and virtual), Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, etc), collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, Jabber), virtualization technology, software applications, scripting, SANs, and computer security in an enterprise.
- MECM Expertise: Strong technical skills in MECM, including device management, application management, and software updates.
- Scripting Languages: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.
- Windows Deployment: Familiarity with Windows deployment, patch management, and system imaging.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and keeping up to date with the latest MECM technologies and best practices.
- Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience) with 5 + years of experience.
- DoD 8570 Compliance: DoD 8570 compliant.
- IAT Level II or III Baseline Certification: IAT Level II or III Baseline Certification.
- Computing Environment (CE) Certificate: Computing Environment (CE) Certificate.
- Microsoft Administrator Certification: Microsoft Administrator Certification (MCSA, MCSE, DP-300, AZ-104 etc).
- IT Service Management Certification: IT Service Management Certification (ITIL v4).
- Overnight Travel: In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel, Vaccine Recommendations by AOR lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
