Job Description

As a Snow Removal Technician at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and accessibility of our resort during the winter months. Your primary responsibility will be to clear snow from roads, sidewalks, and parking lots using specialized equipment, apply ice-melt products, and maintain equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear snow from walkways and driveways using shovels, snow blowers, and other equipment
  • Spread salt and other materials on icy surfaces to prevent slipping and accidents
  • Operate snowplows and other heavy machinery to remove snow from parking lots, roads, and other large areas
  • Respond to Snowstorms and work on-call as needed to ensure safe passage for pedestrians and vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate efforts and ensure efficient snow removal operations
  • Maintain accurate records of hours worked, equipment usage, and materials used
  • Adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear while working in cold and potentially hazardous conditions

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate snow removal equipment such as plows, blowers, and shovels
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods
  • Must be available to work on-call flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Previous grounds maintenance experience valued but not required.
  • License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Valid Driver's License
