Sterilization Processing Technician

Responsibilities:
- Maintain departmental organization and cleanliness.
- Conduct appropriate sterilization cycles needed in accordance with instrument manufacturer's instructions.
- Maintain accurate tracking/documentation for all clinic instrumentation received and distributed.
- Maintain records of continuing education.
- Provide appropriate communication and tag any instrumentation or equipment removed from service.
- Verify cleanliness of instrumentation and assemble in accordance with the instructions.
- Prioritize daily tasks and clinic deliveries.
- Provide appropriate communication for needed supplies.
- Assist with clinic instrument transportation when needed.
- Work weekends and/or alternate shifts as necessary.
- Perform tasks and responsibilities as assigned by department manager.
- Ability to travel inside and outside of the Colorado Springs area.
- Promote and demonstrate the mission, vision, and Core Values of Peak Vista.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments, the management team, medical staff, and leadership.

- Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to the Compliance Plan and Conflict of Interest requirements.

- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 1 year of previous experience in Sterile Processing or Dental Assistant with sterilization experience preferred.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age or older to be an eligible driver on behalf of Peak Vista.
- Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Must meet and maintain driver criteria as prescribed by Peak Vista's insurance underwriter.
- Active certification of CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from IAHCSMM or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or Certified Dental Assistant with sterilization experience preferred.
- CPR Certification to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
