Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee our projects.

In this role, you will manage the activities of new home construction at the subdivision level, adhering to the Company's standards and processes.

Your focus will be on maintaining quality and customer satisfaction throughout the construction process while supervising subcontractors, Assistant Superintendents, and Laborers, ensuring job-site safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction and timely completion of quality homes in line with the standards set by the Company and the Project Manager.
  • Maintain the inventory in a condition that is appealing to potential buyers and meets the Company's acceptable standards.
  • Schedule and manage all construction-related activities for assigned projects, delegating tasks effectively to Assistant Superintendents, Laborers, and subcontractors.
  • Train and guide Assistant Superintendents and Laborers as necessary.
  • Control all direct and indirect construction costs for the subdivision.
  • Implement Company policies, procedures, and required documentation.
  • Educate subcontractors on Company policies and procedures, including safety and OSHA compliance.
  • Ensure the job site is safeguarded against hazardous situations and materials.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to secure all necessary inspections in accordance with master plan approvals.
  • Manage the acquisition of Certificates of Occupancy within the local jurisdiction.
  • Facilitate homeowner orientations and expedite the resolution of orientation-related issues within the timelines established by the Project Manager and Company.
Requirements

Education:
High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.

Five or more years of experience in residential or commercial construction preferred. A solid understanding of one or more building trades (e.g., electrical, carpentry, plumbing) along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential. Strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines are required.

Base Salary:
$60,000-$75,000
