We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager for Roadway Engineering to oversee projects in our Southwest Region .
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution:
- Develops a comprehensive Project Execution Plan (PEP) outlining team structure, specific tasks, timelines, and resource estimates necessary for project completion.
- Conducts initial project meetings to discuss the PEP with team members.
- Ensures that Quality Control processes are implemented and documented effectively.
- Coordinates with accounting to initiate project closure and maintains compliance with corporate documentation policies.
Project Monitoring and Review:
- Maintains ongoing communication with clients to address technical and scheduling matters.
- Facilitates regular project team meetings to assess progress and enhance collaboration.
- Engages in monthly project reviews aligned with billing cycles and status updates.
- Prepares and delivers detailed project evaluations for senior management.
- Issues monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
- Reviews financial summaries, including Accounts Receivable and Work in Progress reports, on a monthly basis.
Project Control:
- Ensures all design modifications are approved and adhere to project standards and protocols.
- Collaborates with the Operations Manager and other Project Managers to resolve scheduling or technical challenges.
- Assesses the impact of scope changes on budgets and timelines, negotiating necessary fee adjustments with clients.
- Reviews and approves documentation for timely invoicing.
- Manages client accounts, including the collection of Accounts Receivable.
Marketing and Business Development:
- Contributes to business development initiatives and strategies.
- Cultivates and maintains professional relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
- A minimum of 15-20 years of relevant experience with TxDOT-specific processes and guidelines.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and InRoads software.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
