Job Summary

At NASCO, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing complex federal government and commercial construction contracts.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of a designated contract or project to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of construction finance, with experience in generating monthly billings, change orders, and deductive change orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates activities of the onsite project team to ensure project progress on schedule and within prescribed budgets.
  • Maintains company's management system and ensures compliance with all published procedures and policies.
  • Reviews project proposals and estimates to determine time frames, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
  • Develops construction take-offs to complete thorough request for proposal responses and detailed estimates.
  • Conducts job walks, reviews, and makes recommendations to Request for Proposals, and negotiates Delivery/Task Orders with clients.
  • Ensures all projects are cleanly closed out, including as-builts, final invoicing, punch list completion, and warranty documentation.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with project subcontractors/vendors and clients to ensure open and frequent communication channels.
  • Confers with project personnel and clients to evaluate and provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven to ten years' experience in performing all phases and types of complex federal government and commercial construction contracts.
  • Three to five years' direct construction estimating and RSMeans/E4Clicks experience.
  • Expert-level working knowledge of MS Project 2016 or higher, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe Reader, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
