The selected candidate will deliver electrical engineering expertise to ensure the organization’s operational objectives are met by supporting production, maintenance, and engineering initiatives. This role is essential for enhancing the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our operations, focusing on the safe integration of electrical systems with manufacturing processes and the enhancement of existing machinery.

The Power Systems Engineer will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing all stages of designated electrical engineering projects, from initial concept and scope definition to specification writing, bid requests, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project completion.
  • Facilitating problem-solving sessions with cross-functional technical teams, maintenance, and production staff.
  • Utilizing PI Vision and Data Link to assess process challenges and contribute to solutions.
  • Designing and implementing electrical control systems that foster process enhancements and boost equipment reliability.
  • Providing support to production and maintenance teams regarding equipment and process challenges.
  • Executing PLC/HMI and control system redesigns and upgrades for current processes.
  • Installing and troubleshooting camera systems on industrial machinery.
  • Mentoring team members to enhance their understanding of equipment and processes, as necessary.
  • While primarily a day-shift role, availability for off-hours support may be required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (at the time of employment).
  • At least one internship, co-op, or relevant work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives & motors, measurement devices, and Ethernet cameras.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell programming software (e.g., RS Logix and Factory View).
  • Three or more years of experience leading electrical projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project applications.
