Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cafeteria Worker to join our team at Centennial School District. As a Cafeteria Worker, you will play a vital role in providing students and staff with a nutritious and appealing meal while ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve students, faculty, and staff, and replenish food on serving lines.
  2. Assist with food preparation as instructed by supervisor.
  3. Apply principles of safe and sanitary food handling, preparation, and storage.
  4. Verify adequate supply, portion control, and proper display of food; maintain correct food temperatures.
  5. Set up serving lines with utensils and foods (hot and cold). Serve on the line.
  6. Clean all items used, including trays, pots, pans, and utensils.
  7. Clean and sanitize work area, counters, tables, and other equipment; clean up spills as they occur in the kitchen work area.
  8. Assume responsibility for laundry.
  9. Clean refrigerators and storeroom shelves.
  10. Assist cashiers at serving time; perform point of sale processes according to established procedures; ensure security of daily receipts.
  11. Safe operation of all cafeteria equipment.
  12. Monitor delinquent accounts, complete daily production report, and other reports as assigned.
  13. Provide set up for meetings and work banquets, as needed.
  14. Participate in all required training.
  15. Knowledge of weights, measures, and portion control.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
