Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Metropolitan Healthcare Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine imaging and therapy, with excellent communication and patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, ensuring proper imaging techniques and image quality.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with image quality, taking appropriate action to resolve.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results, and order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
Requirements
  • Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • NYS License
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • 2 years' Experience
Preferred Experience
  • CT certified and has PE/CT experience
