Job Summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled School-Based Behavioral Health Therapist I to join our team. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive care to children, adolescents, and their families in partnership with schools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment and treatment services utilizing evidence-based modalities, including CBT, Family Therapy, and MI.
  • Develop and implement prevention and early intervention individual and group services to promote positive school climate and culture.
  • Provide crisis management and stabilization services, utilizing risk assessment and safety planning to maintain students in their natural environment or refer to higher levels of care.
  • Collaborate with other youth-serving agencies, service providers, and community resources to facilitate continuity of care and address social influences of health and education.
  • Participate in activities designed to foster professional development and clinical excellence, including supervision, consultations, trainings, and peer reviews.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited university in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • LSW, LPC, or MFT licensure required.
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities in providing and managing mental and behavioral healthcare to children, adolescents, and families.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, peers, school staff, and community representatives.
