About the Role

HSHS St. John's Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic ultrasound scans and interpreting images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound scans on patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assess and evaluate patient anatomy and pathophysiology to provide accurate and reliable diagnostic information.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and technologies in diagnostic ultrasound to provide the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited allied health program or currently enrolled in a program.
  • Associate's degree in allied health, applied science, or completion of a certificate program preferred.
  • Experience in sonography/ultrasound preferred.
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
