Health Services Administrator (RN) Job Summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Administrator (HSA) to lead our healthcare team at the Monroe County Jail in Michigan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the healthcare delivery system, coordinating with other functions within the facility, and ensuring compliance with all aspects of the client contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the healthcare delivery system and coordinate with other functions within the facility.
  • Manage the budget and financial performance of the site, submitting timely and accurate reports to the supervisor and/or corporate office.
  • Develop and/or supervise the facility operational plan.
  • Direct the activities of the assigned staff, actively recruiting new staff and arranging interview processes.
  • Interface with VitalCore Human Resources for the hiring and terminating of all site staff, managing labor to ensure the site is staffed according to contractual commitments.
  • Ensure orientation of new VitalCore personnel by conducting or coordinating all initial new hire and annual orientation and training activities.
  • Ensure site utilization and compliance with all VitalCore and applicable client systems and applications.
  • Coordinate the Medical Audit Committee and facilitate monthly meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA and/or NCCHC standards and VitalCore clinical services and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Hospital Administrators and other external providers on the delivery of services at hospitals or other external health services locations outside the facility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of two years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance.
  • Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
