Job Overview

The Risk Assessment Specialist plays a crucial role in gathering underwriting data, overseeing claims management, issuing necessary certificates, and administering surety bonds.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Vice President of Risk Management

Direct Reports: None

Key Responsibilities: The following duties outline the responsibilities of the Risk Assessment Specialist and may be adjusted as organizational needs evolve.
  • Gather and evaluate renewal and claims information to facilitate insurance placements.
  • Coordinate with brokerage teams as required.
  • Conduct data analysis and risk assessments.
  • Examine quotes, binders, endorsements, policies, and audits for precision.
  • Oversee the invoice payment process for all placements, fees, and claims billings.
  • Ensure timely issuance of insurance certificates.
  • Keep updated Statements of Values, Auto Schedules, and other underwriting information throughout the year.
  • Review insurance clauses in vendor agreements.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of Risk Control Programs.
  • Administer Surety Bonds, including placements and releases.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in risk analysis or management.
  • Preferred: Georgia Property and Casualty license.
  • Preferred: Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective data collection and results delivery across the organization.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive mindset focused on efficiency and process improvement as responsibilities and company needs grow.
