Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our Hospital Pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and prepare pharmaceutical preparations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types out labels for bottles.
  • Receives and stores incoming supplies, counts stock, and enters data in the computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Prepares intravenous (IV) packs using sterile technique under the supervision of the hospital pharmacist.
  • Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods.
  • Types and files reports and completes forms as directed.
  • Fills routine prescriptions with prepackaged pharmaceuticals and resolves queries related to prescriptions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Hospital Pharmacy or relevant area.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
  • Current active registration with the State of NJ Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Pharmacy or related field.
