Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician - Class B to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify and repair basic failures and conditions, and complete thorough documentation of work orders through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers, and inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other critical components to ensure proper operating condition.
  • Train and provide guidance to other Mechanics, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent.
  • 5 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire and wheel, air and air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration experience.
