Job Type: Full-time
Role Responsibilities:
As a Process Optimization Engineer, you will:
- Monitor and enhance key operational parameters to improve process efficiency and product quality while prioritizing safety and environmental compliance.
- Utilize your technical expertise to identify and rectify deviations in quality, capacity, yield, and energy consumption.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers.
Key Duties Include:
- Develop and implement systems to enhance health, safety, environmental standards, production efficiency, equipment reliability, cost management, and product quality.
- Oversee daily plant operations and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Define project scopes and business cases for improvement initiatives, supporting capital projects through the Front-End Loading (FEL) process.
- Conduct root cause analysis to address process and equipment challenges.
- Compile technical data for environmental compliance and participate in audits and assessments.
- Collaborate with quality representatives to establish process conditions for new or modified products.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints and nonconformance issues.
- Review and update operational procedures as necessary.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical or chemical processing sectors. Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and process simulation software such as Aspen Plus is preferred.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong teamwork skills, effective communication abilities, and a results-oriented mindset. Proficiency in problem-solving, data analysis, and operational procedure development is essential.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in polymer processing and extrusion is advantageous.
