Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Crusoe Energy. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and reliable.

You will have the chance to work on a broad range of infrastructure technologies and hardware systems, leading projects to evolve our services and participating in architectural design.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and operate a range of infrastructure technologies and hardware systems
  • Lead projects to evolve our services and participate in architectural design
  • Build infrastructure-as-code software and tools using a GitOps approach
  • Configure and automate on-premises Linux-based systems at scale using infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Extend open-source tools to integrate distinct systems
  • Be responsible for the full lifecycle of physical systems, including deployments, operations, triage, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in the design and build for our compute, storage, and networking practices
  • Work with Product and Business Development teams to inform and specify our hardware needs

Requirements:

  • Deep experience and fluency with Linux environments
  • Experience building with modern infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer, and Terraform
  • Experience with TCP/IP configurations and troubleshooting on Linux systems
  • Experience writing code to automate infrastructure management tasks with at least one language (Go, Python, Bash, or similar)
  • 5+ years of infrastructure management experience, including bare metal server management and operating system image creation and deployments
  • 5+ years of experience contributing to architecture, design, reliability, and scaling of infrastructure systems
  • Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as Netbox
  • Experience with on-premises Data Center operations and technologies (power distribution units, structured cabling, rack design)
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and build systems, such as GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, GitHub Actions
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining observability stacks: logging, monitoring, and alerting systems and tools such as syslog, fluentd, Prometheus, AlertManager, and Grafana
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $183,000 - $210,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
